Pre-K - Ginyaangbaa - Happy Place
MidCoast Christian College Pre-K is a happy place of learning and fun! It is our Ginyaangbaa or happy place. A place where precious 4-year old children will be safe and thrive under the caring, nurturing love of our MCCC staff.
Children who attend MCCC Pre-K are exposed to rich and exciting daily learning experience, where developmental play and learning experiences encourage a desire to investigate, learn and grow along side our talented qualified teachers.
As a Christian College we believe it is important to grow the whole child: socially, physically, emotionally, academically and spiritually.
Our desire is to equip the students of Pre-K with the necessary pre literacy and numeracy skills for a successful and smooth transition into Kindergarten. There will also be a focus on each child’s social development. Our students will learn to communicate, empathise, share and play kindly and cooperatively, all of which will build strong interpersonal skills.
Children who attend MCCC Pre-K will have opportunities to learn from the Bible about our great God; who Jesus is and what He did, and about the continued work of the Holy Spirit. Through a variety of learning experiences, children will also learn about God’s wonderful creation.
The Pre-K is situated on the grounds of our beautiful College. The students will begin their journey of learning on the same site that they hopefully will finish at, from Pre-K to Year 12. They will be exposed to the daily life of the College and will have opportunities to meet other MCCC staff members and visit different areas of the College.
At MCCC, we desire to create lifelong learners and we believe in the importance of working closely with families to help children transition into school life, to thrive and grow into people that God intends. This is a journey we take together and we are so excited by it!
