Teacher of PDHPE

Ongoing/Full-time. Commencing Term 1, 2025.

MidCoast Christian College is an expanding, Christ-centred school of over 800 students, situated in the Greater Taree region on the beautiful mid-north coast of NSW. A vacancy has arisen for a teacher of Secondary PDHPE.

Selection Criteria

The successful applicant must:

  • Be a practising Christian, active in a church and subscribe to the Statement of Faith;
  • Demonstrate an understanding of and an ability to teach from a Christian perspective;
  • Have strong interpersonal and teamwork skills;
  • Have extensive knowledge of the 7-12 PDHPE curriculum and ability to teach HSC PDHPE;
  • Have the ability or willingness to teach Stage 6 Community and Family Studies;
  • Demonstrate an ability to cater for the full range of learners, have high expectations of students and integrate ICT into teaching;
  • Be able to understand and use data to inform planning and implement assessment for learning principles; and
  • Be willing to contribute to the College’s co-curricular program.

The successful applicant must satisfy NSW Working with Children and NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) teacher employability requirements and be eligible to work in Australia.

Teachers are paid under the Christian Schools Australia Multi-Enterprise Agreement.
