Nurturing a desire to investigate, learn and grow through play and learning
Every big journey starts with a single step. At MCCC, Pre-K is where children take their first steps into a world of discovery, wonder, and belonging.
Our play-based program is designed to ignite curiosity while gently preparing children for the structure of school life. Every day is filled with moments of joy and growth — whether they’re counting dinosaurs in the sandpit, discovering the beauty of God’s creation under a shady tree, or singing Bible songs with their friends.

Learning through purposeful play
In Pre-K, we guide simple play with clear goals and intentional teaching to build the skills your child needs for a seamless start to school. We focus on:
- Social readiness – learning to take turns, ask questions and build friendships
- Listening and following routines – gradually building early independence
- Literacy and Numeracy foundations – through stories, hands-on learning and research-backed programs like Pre-Lit
- Creativity and exploration – with free-choice activities, imaginative play and expressive arts

Christian values
Each morning begins with a simple song about God, followed by Bible story time using illustrated books to introduce Jesus in ways little hearts can understand. Then, children are invited to reflect and ask questions in Circle Time, a safe space full of curiosity and wonder.

Smart transitions
Familiarity with school routines, a caring community, and the unique opportunity to begin their learning journey alongside the rest of the student community gives Pre-K students the confidence to transition seamlessly into Kindergarten.
Your child will be naturally exposed to the daily life of the College, building connections with staff and exploring different areas of the campus along the way.
